About Julie

Julie Larkin, MA, NCC, is a mental health counselor, coach, and the founder and executive director of Girl Talk.

Julie received her bachelor's degree in psychology and masters in business from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. In response to a college suicide attempt, she began Girl Talk as a 501(c)3 nonprofit to combat the mental health crisis through a sisterhood of self-worth. This journey compelled her to attain her masters in clinical mental health counseling from Wake Forest University, and subsequently to work as a Nationally Certified Counselor at Vita Optimum Counseling & Consulting in Chicago.

Julie’s work on the dignity of women has been featured on EWTN News Nightly, Relevant Radio, and in Verily Magazine. She speaks regularly to teens, parents, and women on self-worth, mental health, and true confidence.

Julie’s vision is for every woman to recognize and radiate her inherent dignity as a daughter of God.
